Legacy MKSSS
Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve was one of the first visionaries who realized that women gain respect and emancipation only through modern education.
With the objective of uplifting, emancipating, and educating women, a significant socially downtrodden section in Indian society, he started his work on 14th June 1896.
As a seed grows into a huge banyan tree by branching out, the singular idea of liberating women through education has branched far and wide culminating, in an enormous educational institute known as Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS). It runs 62 different institutes and colleges including, teachers training, engineering, architecture, Fashion technology, and Media Education.
